Biography: Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Khalid Awang was born in Terengganu, Malaysia. He pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University at Bloomington, USA and graduated in 1994. He started his career as a Systems Analyst in 1995. Then, in 1997, he finally decided to join academics and started his job as a lecturer at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, UniSZA, Malaysia. In 1998, he pursued a Master of Science in Information Technology. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science from UniSZA. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Informatics and Computing (FIK), UniSZA. His research interests are knowledge management, machine learning, ensemble methods and artificial intelligence. He has been actively involved in research and publication; has over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and has been appointed as a reviewer for many conferences and journals.
