Biography: Liming Luke Chen (B.Eng., M.Eng., Ph.D) is Professor of Computer Science in the School of Computer Science and Informatics, De Montfort University, UK. His research focuses on context computing, agent based intelligent systems, human machine interaction, data and knowledge engineering and their applications specifically in the domain of smart environments, smart cyber physical systems and assistive living. He has published extensively in these areas with over 100 peer-reviewed papers spanning both theoretical and applied research domains. He is a grant holder of Research Projects funded by national (EPSRC, DEL), European (FP7, AAL) funding bodies and industry partners (SAP and IN2). He is a member of the Executive Steering Committee of the International Organization for Information Integration and Web-based Applications and Services, an assistant editor in chief for IJPCC and has served as the vice general chair for SAI2013, PC chairs for MoMM2013/2014, UCAMI 2013, IWAAL2014 and on technical program committees for various conferences.
