Biography: Current position: Professor at Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Oradea, Romania, from 2009. Professional experience: She received her PhD. degree in Computer Science, in the area of Data Mining, from "Politehnica" University of Timisoara, in 2003. She participated in 2000 and 2001 at University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France, in a tempus project for specialization in analysis and implementation of Integrated Software Management Systems in local administration. She is the local coordinator of the Oracle Academic Initiative, and participated at different specializations in this area, organized by Oracle România. Her current research interests include database management systems, knowledge discovery in databases and data mining techniques. Member of several research groups CCTIA (Center for Research in Information Technology and Automation), SRAIT, Data Mining research group at University of Oradea, Department of Computer Science. She has been a program committee member and reviewer in several conferences and journals. She was director of 3 and member of several international projects. She is author/co-author of 9 books and more than 85 publications in the aforementioned fields, many of them in journals and international conferences.
