Biography: Ghalem Belalem graduated from the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Exact and Applied Sciences at the University of Oran in Algeria, where he received his PhD degree in Computer Science in 2007. Now he is a Professor in University of Oran, Algeria. His research interests include distributed systems, grid computing, cloud computing, placement of replicas, and consistency in large scale systems, mobile environments, fault tolerance, data management and big data.
