Biography: Dr. Nasima Begum is currently working as an assistant Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Asia Pacific, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to this, she worked as Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Dept. of Information and Communication Systems, Okayama University Japan from October 2014 to March 2016. She also worked as a PhD Visiting Researcher in Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology Okayama University, Japan from June 2011 to September 2011. Before moving for higher study, she worked as a lecture and senior lecturer in the Dept. of computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Manarat International University from January 2007 ~ June 2011. She received her Ph.D. degree in Information Security from Okayama University, Japan in 2014. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh in 2006 and 2010 respectively. She served as TPC member of several international conferences. She has also served as: a) Track Chair/Session Chair, 19th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology 2017 (ICCIT2017), b) Member, Organizing Committee, ACM-ICPC Dhaka Regional Site 2017, c) Head, Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) of Dept. of CSE Under IQAC, University of Asia Pacific d) Trainer, ITEE Exam 2020, Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) e) Coordinator, ITEE Exam 2017, University of Asia Pacific in association of BCC and JICA, f) Coordinator, MOU between Dept. of CSE UAP and KJS Ltd. Japan. Her research interests include information security, user privacy, machine learning, artificial intelligence and blockchain. She has published around 35 peer-reviewed scientific articles in international journals and conferences together with book chapters. Dr. Nasima serves as a volunteer reviewer of several international journals. She is also a regular technical committee member of several international conferences. She is a senior member of IEEE and a overseas member of IEICE.
