Biography

Dr. B V A N S S Prabhakar Rao (Senior Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s, master’s, and M.Tech. degrees in CSE from Andhra University, and the Ph.D. degree from JNTUK. He is currently a Professor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. He presented papers at national and international conferences. He reviewed books, international conferences, and journals as a volunteer. He has published more than forty papers in various Scopus, Web of Science indexed and other national and international journals. Also, he authored twelve books and book chapters to his credit. He has twenty five utility and design patents filed, published, and granted to his credit. His teaching disciplines include software engineering, artificial intelligence, soft computing, software engineering economics, theory of computation, compiler design, and systems programming. His research interests include intelligent systems, machine learning, education, agriculture, and health care. He holds memberships in SMIEEE, ISCA, ISTE, CSTA, IAENG, and IACSIT.
