Biography

Dr. Mourad Fariss is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Al Hoceima (FSTH), Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Morocco. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Mohammed First University, where he conducted his research at the MASI Laboratory, focusing on semantic web services, QoS-based service discovery, and service selection mechanisms. His research interests include semantic web services, web service discovery and composition, quality of service (QoS) optimization, big data architectures, real-time and batch data processing, cloud and edge computing, as well as machine learning applications in financial data analytics. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal and conference papers published in internationally indexed venues (Scopus, Springer, IEEE). Dr. Fariss has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels and has supervised several Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD theses. He actively serves as a reviewer for international journals and conferences and is involved in the organization of multiple scientific events and workshops at national and international levels.
