Biography
Dr. Kalyani Desikan is a Professor of Mathematics in the School of Advanced Sciences at VIT Chennai, India. She has over 25 years of experience which includes teaching, research and industry experience. She has over 26 publications in reputed International and National journals. Her research interests include Data mining, Clustering, Link analysis, Automata theory, Spectral graph theory, Chemical Graph Theory and Cosmology. She has mentored three Ph.D. student and is currently mentoring 6 Ph.D. students. Teaching is her passion and she thoroughly enjoys it. She has been a part of the faculty team that was instrumental in introducing Mathematics Laboratory for undergraduate Engineering students of VIT. She particularly enjoys teaching Calculus and Differential Equations with specific emphasis on applications and visualization.
