Biography: Md. Al-Amin Bhuiyan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Applied Physics & Electronics from the University of Dhaka, in 1987 and 1988, respectively. Dr. Al-Amin received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering from Osaka City University, Japan in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, he was employed as a COE Post Doc Research Fellow with the Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory, National Institute of Informatics, Japan. He did his second Post-doctoral research in University of Hull, UK. Since 2008, he has been a Professor with the Computer Science & Engineering Department, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Currently he is a faculty member at the Department of Computer Engineering, King Faisal University. He is the author of two books and more than 100 articles in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include image processing, computer graphics, pattern recognition, computer vision, neural networks, artificial intelligence, robotic vision, and so on.
