Biography: Harish Garg is an Assistant Professor at Thapar University Patiala, India. Prior to joining Thapar University, Patiala, Dr. Garg received a PhD in Applied Mathematics with specialization of Reliability theory and soft computing techniques, from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in 2013 and an MSc in Mathematics from Punjabi University, Patiala, India in 2008. His research interest are in the field of Computational Intelligence, Reliability theory, Optimization techniques, various nature inspired algorithms (e.g. genetic algorithms, swarm optimization), fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy set theory. Application areas include wide range of industrial and structural engineering design problems. Dr. Garg has authored/co-authored over 47 technical papers published in refereed International Journals including Experts System with Applications, Applied Soft Computing, ISA Transactions, Computer and Industrial Engineering, Computer and Operations Research, International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based System, Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization, Japan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Journal of Multiple Logic and Soft Computing, etc. He has published four book chapters also. His Biographical profile has been selected for inclusion in the Marquis Who's Who in the World 2013, 2015.
