DR. AMANDO PIMENTEL SINGUN, JR. completed all his academic degrees, ‘Doctor in Information Technology', ‘Master of Science in Information Technology', and ‘Bachelor of Science in Information Technology', at Saint Paul University Philippines (an ISO 9001 Certified University by TUV Rheinland & fully-accredited university by International Accreditation Organization (IAO); Also, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippines recognized him as a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT). He started his teaching career in 2002. In the Philippines, he had taught at Saint Paul University Philippines (Full-time, AY2002-2005), Cagayan State University (Full-time, AY2005-2007), and Cagayan Colleges of Tuguegarao (Part-time, AY2005-2007). From 2007 up to present date, he has been working as IT Faculty member at the Higher College of Technology, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Simultaneously, he is given some official designations such as: Department Quality Assurance Coordinator, Head of Information Systems Specialization of the IT Specialization Sub-Committee (2013-2017), Member of the Institutional Standards Accreditation Assessment Application Support Team of the College, the College Representative to the Oman Quality Network in Higher Education (OQNHE), and the Editor-in-Chief of the IT Newsletter (2016-2018). His research areas are the following: Human-Computer Interaction (Human Factors), Curriculum and Pedagogy Theories and Development, Classroom Assessment, Educational Technologies, Information and Computing Sciences, and Total Quality Management.
