FABIO D'ANDREAGIOVANNI received the M.Sc. degree in industrial engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in operations research from the University of Rome Sapienza, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. He was a Research Scholar with the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Columbia University in the City of New York, from 2008 to 2009. He has been a First Class Research Scientist with the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and at the Laboratory ``Heudiasyc'' of UTC-Sorbonne University, since 2016. Until 2016, he was Head of Research Group "Mathematics of Telecommunications" of the Department of Mathematical Optimization of Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB). He was also a Lecturer with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Free University of Berlin, and with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Berlin. He has worked as consultant for several major European telecommunications and electric utility companies. His research has been focused on the theory and applications of robust optimization and mixed integer programming and has received many awards for his work, such as the Accenture M.Sc. Prize 2006, the INFORMS Telecom Ph.D. Award 2010, the INFORMS Telecom Best Paper Award 2014, the RNDM Best Paper Award 2017, the EvoStar-EvoApplications Best Paper Award 2018, and the ICIN Best Paper Award 2018.
