Antonios Gasteratos is an Assoc. Prof. at Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). He holds a B.Eng. and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, DUTH, (1994 and 1999, respectively). During the last 10 years he has been principal investigator to 5 EC, 2 ESA and 3 national funded projects related mostly to robotics and security themes. He has published over 150 papers in peer reviewed journals and international conferences. He is Assoc. Editor at the International Journal of Optomechatronics and the Human-Centric Computing and Information Sciences. He is also a reviewer for projects supported by the EC and of many (over 40 different) international journals, mostly in the field of Computer Vision and Robotics. Antonios Gasteratos has been a member of the programme committee in numerous international conferences and chairman and co-chairman in several international conferences and workshops.
