Albert Esterline received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) in 1982 and his Ph.D. in computer science and M.S. in mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 1992. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at NC A&T State University. Dr. Esterline’s recent research in formal methods has applied topics at the intersection of computer science, philosophy, and mathematics. His research interests also include identity theory, the Semantic Web, multiagent systems, and design theory. In his 25 years at A&T, he has graduated 74 MS students (project or thesis), and he has been the co-advisor of five graduated PhD students and the advisor of four. Dr. Esterline has nearly 200 peer-reviewed publications (conferences, journals, and chapters).
