Anu Mercian is a Research Scientist at Hewlett Packard Labs, and a Research Affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley Labs (LBL). She earned her PhD and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Arizona State University and Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from CET, India. She is currently working on Next-Generation Network Management System and Application Performance Analytics. Prior to her current role, she worked as an R&D Engineer on the state-of-the-art Aggregation Switch Operating System (HPE Aruba OS-CX) based Network Analytics Engine and her other past work includes development in OpenDayLight Network Intent Composition (NIC) Project. Her research interests include Intent-based Networking, Policy Management in SDN and Service Function Chaining. She serves as a reviewer for various Publications including IEEE COMST, Elseiver, Optical Communications, Journal of Networks etc. She has also previously worked with Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) and Huawei towards various SDN application services.
