Ashraful Islam is currently a PhD Candidate at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies, University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL Lafayette), USA. His doctoral research emphasizes developing and evaluating virtual agents for health service deliveries. In general, his research interests include human-computer interaction (HCI), healthcare informatics, mHealth, and applied machine learning. Before joining UL Lafayette, he served as a lecturer of computer science and engineering at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. His research works have been published in various prestigious journals and venues including DESRIST, Electronics. He is the reviewer of well-reputed HCI, mHealth, healthcare informatics journals such as JMIR, JMIR mHealth and uHealth, Journal of Neuroscience Methods. He also serves as a reviewer or technical program committee member in several international conferences regularly.
