Ivan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017 with a double major in Mathematics; and Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and in 2019 obtained a in Master's in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering also from MIT with a thesis in Boolean Satisfiability problems variants, being advised by Erik Demaine. Prior to enrolling to MIT, between 2009 and 2012 he obtained 11 International Science Olympiad medals representing Brazil. Among them a gold in the International Physics Olympiad and silvers in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad as well as in the International Linguistics Olympiad. Currently he works at Radix Labs, a startup doing automation for biochemistry, being one of the lead backend developers and the one writing scheduling heuristics and algorithm.
