Abolfazl Razi is an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering at Northern Arizona University (NAU). He received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine. Prior to joining NAU, he held two postdoctoral positions in the field of machine learning and predictive modeling at Duke University (2013–2014), and Case Western Reserve University (2014–2015). He has published several book chapters, and more than 60 journal and conference papers. He also has developed several software packages, technology demonstrations, product prototypes, and filed multiple US paten applications. He is the recipient of several competitive awards including the Best Research of MCI in 2008, Best Graduate Research Assistant of the Year Award from the College of Engineering, University of Maine in 2011, and the Best Paper Award from the IEEE/CANEUS Fly By Wireless Workshop in 2011. His current research interests include AI-enabled wireless networking, nonlinear compressive sensing, topology control, UAV networks, and predictive modeling.
