I currently work for Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. where my primary responsibility is to innovate, design and develop state-of-the-art storage architectures for current and future needs of data centers. I have graduated with a PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University. Previously, I was a Computer Science & Engineering Undergraduate at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. I work in the field of Big Data and High Performance Computing (Storage Architecture). I have worked from developing Big Data Applications to building architecture and infrastructure on which these applications run. My work majorly involves designing (re-designing), and developing solutions in the Linux Storage Stack for inching towards the realization of Software Defined Data Centers. Specialties: Problem identification and solution. Designing and Developing solutions for Big Data. Decrease the mismatch between Big Data Applications requirements and system capabilities. Optimizing resource utilization for multi-tenant, multi-process batch and data science streaming Big Data applications. Others include: Linux Kernel Storage Stack, Apache Hadoop, Spark, HDFS Architecture, Storage Management Solutions (single & multi-tier), Object Storage, Cloud Computing, Contention Avoidance, Exascale Computing, Software Defined Data Centers, Apache YARN, Resource Management Solutions, Storage and Disk Architectures.
