Mohamed Eltabakh is a professor of computer science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). His research interest is in the broad area of Database Management Systems and Information Management. In particular, his work is in the areas of query processing and optimization, indexing techniques, scientific data management, and large-scale data analytics. Professor Eltabakh is a member of the Database Systems Research Group (DSRG) and a faculty member of the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BCB) program in WPI. Eltabakh received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Purdue University in May 2010, and he received his MSc. and BSc degrees from Purdue University in May 2005 and Alexandria University, Egypt in May 1999, respectively. Prof. Eltabakh is a member of ACM and IEEE.
