Biography: Mahmoud Omari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Amman Arab University, Jordan, where he has been since 2017. He worked at several public and private universities in Jordan since 1993. He received a B.Sc. from Yarmouk University at Irbid, Jordan in 1984, and an M.Sc. from the George Washington University at Washington DC. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1992. His research interests span both parallel and distributed systems and Arabic Language information retrieval systems. Much of his work has been on improving the understanding, design, and performance of parallel computer systems. In the information retrieval systems field, he has worked on improving information retrieval systems for Arabic Language using different stemming methodologies on query words.
