Biography: Kennedy Chinedu Okafor is a Fellow of African Scientific Institute, USA; Senior Member of IEEE, USA, and the Chair, IEEE Consultants Networks- Nigeria Section (Region 8). He holds a Ph.D. in Digital Electronic & Computer Engineering from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Nigeria as the overall best University Faculty doctoral candidate in 2017. Kennedy is a Senior Research Associate with the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is collaborating with National Instrument-USA, Cisco Systems-USA, LESA Center-USA and holds a PostDoc position at Simon Fraser University, Cannada. Kennedy is a Cisco / IBM Certified Systems Engineer with accumulated industry experiences in Advanced Mechatronics, Compute systems & Operational Technologies (DevSecOps). Kennedy has over 150 impact technical publications, reviewed over 280 papers (Publons WoS), and have presented papers in both Int'l and local Conferences. He is an Active reviewer in IEEE Internet of Things Journal, USA, IEEE Access, USA, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Transactions and Magazine, USA, IGI Global- IJERTCS, IJCWT, IJHIoT, IJRCM, IJERT, IJCAC, etc; Elsevier J. of King Saud University- Comp & Inf., Sciences, Elsevier- Heliyon, among others. He has developed various products in ACS such as COVID-19 Robots, Ventilators, Cloud-based AMI, CloudMesh ERP, IoT Automation, Data-loggers, Micro-grids, Spine-Leaf Datacenters; FPGA Display Modules, Analytic Energy Tracking Systems, Language Translators & Forensic Robots. Also, kennedy has worked in different areas of digital and Computer systems design including design of Cloud AI Systems, Big Data Analytics/IoTs, Smartgrid Cloud-based RF Metering Systems, Digital Forensic Applications, Modelling/Simulations of Real-Time Systems, and FPGA/CPLD implementations using VHDL WARP Cypress, VS Code, VMs, Python, JAVA ORACLE Netbeans, MATLAB & Riverbed Modeller. His areas of interest include – Edge, IoT, Computational Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Smartgrid, Cloud DevOps Architect with Open Source focus on Public and Hybrid Cloud environments utilizing IBM Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, CI/CD and Virtualization, Containerization, Cloud Native technologies - Serverless Functions, and Cloud Foundry. Scripting languages - Ansible, Jenkins, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and SaltStack to automate deployments and configuration management of large-scale environments, and CI/CD pipelines; best practices such as Agile, DevOps, and Security Frameworks.
