Biography: Professor Dr. Syed Asif Ali BSc, MS (Computer Science), MIBM (Industrial & Business Mathematics) M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry), PhD (Artificial Intelligence) email: asifkhi@hotmail.com | Telephone: +92 03003639711 Professor Syed Asif Ali is an educator, author, and researcher in artificial intelligence. He is currently working as Professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Karachi, Pakistan, a public sector university. He has a non-conventional and diverse academic background. He has a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Master of Industrial and Business Mathematics, a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry, and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. In 2012, he was appointed as the first Professor at the Faculty of Information Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Karachi, Pakistan. Professor Ali has more than two decades of experience in professional teaching and research. He is the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology for the period of six years (2015-2018 & 2018-2021). In 2018, he established the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Mathematical Sciences. Over the past 25 years, Professor Ali has dedicated his life to understanding how artificial intelligence can be used to enhance the lives of Special Need People (SNP) and make them capable of decision-making. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, software engineering, ICT for Special Needs Persons (SNP), cognitive science, educational technology, educational psychology, and digital social networks. His literary work, computer software, entitled "Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)/Computer Science for Special People’’, Sindh, Karachi, Pakistan was registered patent/copyright in the year 1998 by the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) of Pakistan and received two awards for this achievement. He provides overarching leadership in academic policy development and implementation. He has been associated with various international and national higher academic boards of different universities and organisations. Since 2022, he has served as a convener for research committees. He is the author of "Information and Communication Technology for Special Education: Application of Artificial Intelligence Techniques, Theory of Automata, and Special Education Software Development" and "Computer Graphics: A Practical Approach for Beginners. “published in Germany Professor Ali has supervised more than 400 projects, MS theses, and PhD MS students. His recent research projects are "Artificial Intelligent Approach for Down Syndrome Individuals", "Improve the Growth of Prawn, Shrimp, and Lobsters in Artificial Environments" and "Improving Agriculture using AI".
