Biography: Mr. Kolitha Warnakulasooriya is an Intelligent Robotics researcher, graduate assistant, and Ph.D. candidate in the School of Computing (SoC) at the University of South Alabama (USA). He completed his bachelor’s degree in information technology with honors from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He regularly contributed to and published robotics and artificial intelligence topics. He recently researched multi-robot systems and published and presented his recent research article in the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) 2023 about intelligence decision-making algorithms from a swarm of UAVs. He continues his research about the bio-inspired intelligent mechanisms in the artificial intelligence field that are used for collaborative decision-making processes in robotic systems. He has utilized his time as an independent researcher in studying robotic navigation systems. He has published multiple peer reviewed IoT, AI, and robotics publications. Besides, he has volunteered as a research assistant for the 4ONSE project deployed by the Switzerland National Science Foundation (SNSF) for two years. He has contributed to implementing a low-cost weather station to measure eleven types of weather data from scratch. He started his career as a full-stack software engineer for Sysco Labs, the innovation hand behind Sysco Corporation, United States of America. He became an expert as a React developer for both mobile and web development. He worked as a senior software engineer in the Sysco Delivery platform as a mobile application expert and resigned from Sysco Labs as a team lead. He has over five years of experience in the software industry.
