Biography: Suparerk Janjarasjitt is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. He has been an academic staff member of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University since he received his B.Eng. (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from Ubon Ratchathani University in 1998. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Systems and Control Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA in 2002 and 2006, respectively. In addition, he has been appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA since 2008. His main research interest is the development of advanced computational tools and techniques for various applications spanning from engineering to biology and medicine. In particular, for the applications in biology and medicine, the key objectives are to more comprehensively understand behaviors and characteristics of underlying biological and physiological systems associated with different physiological and pathological states and to obtain better prognosis, diagnosis, treatment and health care. His research projects have been supported by major national funding sources including the Thailand Research Fund, the Commission on Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, the National Science and Technology Development Agency, and Ubon Ratchathani University. He has published 14 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, two chapters in edited books, and several papers in international conference proceedings. He has been invited to give keynote speeches, talks, and lectures at various occasions and places. He has been a member of Editorial Board for a number of scientific journals including Computers in Biology and Medicine, Neural Regeneration Research, World Journal of Neurology, and International Journal of Applied Biomedical Engineering. He served as the Guest Editor for the inaugural issue of International Journal of Applied Biomedical Engineering. In addition, he has served as a reviewer for more than 20 scientific journals and reviewed over 70 manuscripts. Also, he has served as a reviewer for 28 international conferences and a session chairman for a number of international conferences.
