Biography
Dr. Xuan Ma works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Neuroscience, Northwestern University, United States. He earned his Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in the year 2017 for his work in biomedical signal processing and control algorithms for brain computer interface. He has extensive experiences in electrophysiological recordings on non-human primates. Currently, his research aims to improve the performance and stability of intracortical brain computer interface using novel computational methods. Meanwhile, he uses long-duration, wireless cortical and muscular recordings in non-human primates to investigate the neural population activity during multiple unconstrained and naturalistic behaviors, thereby expanding the usability of brain computer interface in more real-life scenarios.
