Biography
Dr. Zaffar Ahmed Shaikh received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi (IBA-Karachi) in 2017. He is currently working as Assistant Professor at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University, Lyari, Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Shaikh has an academic career of over 15 years out of a total 17 years professional career. He has twenty research publications to his credit. Dr. Shaikh has received several research grants from the EPFL, Switzerland, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, and IBA-Karachi. Dr. Shaikh’s research interests include Data Sciences, Knowledge Management, Language & Technology, Learning Environments, MOOCs, Technology Enhanced Learning, etc. His papers are published in top-tier JCR IF journals, for example, AJET, TOJET, JOECR and in highly-ranked international conferences, for example, ACM SIGITE, IEEE iCALT and AINA, The PLE Conference, ECEL, etc. Dr. Shaikh has been serving as a TPC member in many international conferences, such as CHUSER, ECEL, EDUCON, ICBEIA, ICED, ISBEIA, ISGTS, SHUSHER, SIGITE, to name a few. He is on the board of reviewers of the top-tier journals in the field of Computer Science and Educational Technology, for example, Computers & Education, Education Sciences, EJEL, IJEDICT, Interactive Learning Environments, Multimodal Technologies and Interaction, SYSTEM, etc. Dr. Shaikh is a professional member of ACM and IEEE.
