Gerard Dumancas

Biography

I am a tenure track Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Louisiana State University - Alexandria. I previously worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (2012-2014). I have strong interests in the utilization of various chemometric algorithms in analyzing genetic and clinical data. Specifically, my core interests involve in the applications of partial least squares in mining for genotype and phenotype relations and gene mapping, principal component-based regression techniques for genetic association of risk-factor diseases, and genetic algorithm for the simultaneous mapping of multiple interacting quantitative trait loci.
